Case Study – Hospitality

A survey was undertaken for a 120-room hotel in the UK to identify the potential energy savings by replacing conventional lighting with LEDs. Installing Glamocell 6w LEDs to replace 35w halogen units – excluding air-conditioning - resulted in a life cycle cost saving of £304,848K (2000 units x £152 savings per unit). In most cases Return on Investment is achieved within the first year.

Case Study – Commercial Building

An installation was undertaken at a commercial building in Finland to replace twin fluorescent tubes (130W) with twin LED tubes (40W). Total savings excluding air conditioning resulted in a life cycle cost saving of £141,912 over 6 years or £23,652 per annum.

Case Study – Retail Store Freezer Lighting

Glamocell LED aluminium profiles, with a consumption of 4W power and 2W heat emission, were used to replace 1.2 metre fluorescent tubes consuming 36W of power and emitting 30W of heat, thus saving 60W of power. This resulted in annual savings per store of £7200 and life time savings of £59,760 (gross).
